Vanderpump Cocktail Garden
Wow. So let's bring cocktailing up a level or two, shall we? I was very impressed by this Cocktail Garden and loved everything about it. I genuinely liked the staff from the host who seated me to the lovely servers who brought us our cocktails. Visually this place is sexy and that is the best way I can describe it! So we did not have a reservation but I was able to get a table towards the back. That was fine with me, I was just happy to get a table within a few minutes. So the funny thing was, I had checked this place online and noticed there was a dress code of 'upscale and fashionable'. I ran upstairs and changed my clothes because my brunch outfit was just that, a brunch outfit. I honestly do not think it made that much of a difference but I did not see shorts or t-shirts inside the Vanderpump. I honestly do not mind that as I do appreciate a Dress Code every now and then. All the cocktails on the menu sounded amazing and to see several gin drinks was a surprise. So I ordered the largest gin drink on the menu! No shame and a decent tolerance for alcohol here! I ordered the Giggy Tonic which was $20 and worth it! It was made with the purple Empress Gin which is impressive itself. My friends ordered 'Rome is Burning' which is their version of a Manhattan. It is served in a smoky bottle and is good for two people. My other friend ordered the Matcha Matcha Man cocktail which he liked very much. If all the cocktails were not enough, we also ordered the Fried Goat Cheese Balls with endive salad. They were very good, battered nicely and not oily. I liked the fun and sexiness of this place. It is not clubby although it has the appearance of one. It is a classy place to enjoy well made creative cocktails, have fun with your friends and celebrate being an adult! I am ready for round two... let's go amigos!
